Meet Dionne
A native New Yorker, Dionne Williams is a multi-faceted creative whose heart beats to, thirsts for, and swoons after the beauty of home and its importance to daily life. Dionne’s professional background includes her experience as a Writer, Marketer, TV Producer, Interior Design Assistant, and Realtor. A journey with an array of fulfilling experiences which all come together to create Indigo Home Co. – a decor blog and media company that serves as an interior design, and lifestyle resource and a community for homebodies, enthusiasts, and homemakers alike.

There is no more of an important place than home.
I remember in my early days working as a TV News producer at the height of 9/11, I hardly ever saw my home. I was fresh out of college and working triple shifts where I’d arrive to work before sunrise and get home well into the night. I spent all of my daylight hours moving between dark edit bays, a windowless newsroom, and an artificially lit studio navigating the wartime headlines of the day. Those long, grueling, fast paced days were exciting, but left me craving all of the comforts of home.
Interior design has always been an escape for me. It’s where I free my mind and dream about color, pattern, texture, light, shapes and structure. I’d constantly play with moving things around in my home to find fresh looks, study juxtaposition, and composition to evoke a mood or bring simplicity and a better sense of function to my spaces.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always found myself connected to interior design. Whether it was as a design assistant to an Interior designer, part-time work at Pottery Barn, or simply researching new concepts and trends.
